Calvert Creative

Seminars

THIS is what we do best. Call us up, tell us what you need, and we are so there. Or you might want to come have your seminar at Calvert, because we do have awesome, professional digs. And a fully-stocked bar in our office. But of course we also have swanky presentation facilities for small teams. And there’s typically great food to assist the creative learning process. You may notice we love our jobs.

Here is a list of the Top Ten Seminars we are currently offering. Many can be combined to create half-day or full-day conferences. Everything we create is custom-written and designed, green (we try not to kill trees with lots of handouts; instead we make content available to you online) and interactive.

1. FREE! How Social Media Can Move Business
Our most popular offering, this hour-long seminar is a fascinating introduction into the phenomenon that is changing everything about the way we use the internet. We offer this regularly in North Carolina; contact us for current dates and times, and bring your team!

2. Becoming a Social Media Advocate for Your Company
This seminar describes a smart course (including what NOT to do) for beginning the social media conversation in an company that is completely unaware of it or even resistant to innovation and change. We’ll also give you a plan of approach for fielding common objections to social media. This is a great seminar for techies who know their CEO or marketing department should be making use of social media, but haven’t yet figured out a game plan. We’ll even help you with your PowerPoint. Now that’s just plain friendly.

3. Slow-Growth Social Media
Perfect for a company new to social media marketing, this seminar trains teams in how to lay out a basic, well-planned strategy for incorporating internal social media tools before launching a corporate strategy. We’ll teach you the basics of starting-budget social media, so that you’ll have Phase Two ready to roll after the internal stuff has become wildly successful.

4. Amping Your Social Media Game Plan
This is for intermediate players in the social media field, to help you take your SM from “Hm…” to “Yeah!” This one is customizable in the extreme: you tell us where you are currently, and we’ll help you prepare your Power Plan.

5. Calculating Return for Social Media
Everybody wants to know how this part works. This seminar will give you the basic metrics and teach you how social media can best be measured currently. And we’ll give you a hint: it isn’t about ROI, not yet. But it does revolve around ROP, or Return on Participation. Subject to change, as innovation around this field continues.

6. Choosing and Using the RIGHT Social Network
Not every business will make use of Facebook, or LinkedIn. Some might use Ning, or (gasp!) YouTube. With real-time examples and live internet, we’ll give your team the information they need to set up and employ the best solution for your business goals.

7. Creating Social Media “Press” Releases
A MUST for traditional PR firms and ANYONE doing social media, this easy and accessible seminar trains teams in creating and optimizing press releases or articles for social media dissemination. We will also give you a starting list for distribution online.

8. Using Twitter, LinkedIn, Digg and other Tools to Move Business
And in-depth look at a specific site or tool, geared to your company’s goals. Other agencies may do it for you; we teach you how to do it for yourself.

9. Increasing Your Company’s Online Profile
We give you the basics on how to achieve internet “ownage” in search results, social networks, bookmarking sites, and other internet arenas. This is geared directly to your company’s goals and message. It definitely takes an investment of time and energy, but it really pays off.

10. Using Social Media in a Crisis Situation
Most companies have crisis moments (some have entire crisis seasons). The best way to get through them gracefully is to have a plan in advance. However, we also gear this seminar toward businesses who are in crisis NOW and need help. We rush to the scene, and train your medics. This is NOT traditional public relations. It’s way faster. Which is really good news.
